I'm a sucker for retro-computing. I've owned and used many of the popular 8bit computers which were popular in the 80's. These included the Commodore 64 and Apple ][ computers. These humble microcomputers helped to usher in the era of personal computing that we enjoy today. Many computer technicians and technologists like myself have fond memories of these 8bit computers. Ever wish you could go back and visit these simple times of computer history?

Introducing the PropMICRO

The PropMICRO is an easy to build mini computer is based on the Propeller Microcontroller created by Chip Gracey which is distributed by Parallax. This section of WarrantyVoid? will show several methods of creating your own Propeller based "PropMICRO" computer.

What can I do with the PropMICRO?

How about programming in BASIC? Playing or writing your own games? Because the Parallax Propeller is the heart of the PropMICRO, you might start out playing a little Frogger and wind up experimenting in robotics, or even learning modern programming languages like C or Spin.

Be warned, building your own PropMICRO might be a ticket to visit the past, but can also speed you on a journey of cutting-edge microcontroller technology!
