The Propeller Pages: The Noisy PropellerThis page is a collection of software projects for the Propeller.Back to Propeller Here are a collection of Propeller sound and music links which will please "chip tune" audio fans and micro-controller musicians. No music/audio list would be complete without Chip Gracey's Propeller singing 4-part harmony or the Seven demo. Mellotron by Jeff Ledger This was a "proof of concept" musical gizmo which played sounds based on wav samples (using Raymond Allen's wav player) like a Mellotron. Wav file player by Raymond Allen Allows playback of small wav files from memory, or larger files from SD. Ray also spread some Christmas cheer with his Multichannel Wavetable Music Player which he later updated in this thread. Propeller music synthesizer by Andy Schenk This "General Midi" synthesizer with playback mode-0 midi files from SD. Various related tools in the thread include instrument experimentation, and the ability to play midi files directly from the PC using the Propeller's programming connection. PropMIDI player by Jeff Ledger Using Andy Schenk's PMSynth object this midi player will playback type 0 midi files from either an onboard SD card, or streamed from the PC. Design is based the C64 SIDPLAYER with on-screen keyboards. MPark connected his Propeller to his MIDI keyboard with Sick day synthesizer, a synth based on Nick Sabalausky's sound driver that comes with the Hydra book/CD. Rainbow Synthesizer by MPark This synthesizer uses sound samples from a PIC project by Mike Rainbow. You'll need all of the files from the thread, as well as the original samples archive which can be downloaded from here (HSS) The Musical Propeller by Andrew Arsenault This player is a type of mod tracker which can also play PCM wav files, as well as generate sound effects.
